I have just finished this book which is part of my required reading for contemary fiction at uni. Loved this book!!Being an education student in Melbourne's West it was so easy to identify with the location and the economic issues faced by the local schools and their communitties.
I cried like a baby reading this book. I could not put it down until I finished it. It is passionate and so working class honest in it's story telling.
I loved the characters and it was an emotional roller coster ride from start to finish.
Buy this book!! It will melt your heart and grip hold of your soul.
Looking forward to analyse this one at uni; the essays will not be a chore!
